Stackbirds provides a browser automation extension that allows users to record, replay, and automate workflows in the browser. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Browser actions recorded during user-initiated automation sessions (clicks, form inputs, navigation)
- Page content and DOM state captured during workflow recording, used solely to replay the workflow
- Account information (email address) used to authenticate and associate workflows with your account
- Extension usage logs for debugging and improving reliability
How We Use Your Data
- To execute and replay the automation workflows you create
- To store your workflows and make them accessible across sessions
- To diagnose errors and improve the extension
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not track your browsing activity outside of active recording sessions.
Permissions Used
- activeTab / tabs: To interact with the current browser tab during automation
- scripting: To inject automation scripts into pages during workflow execution
- storage: To persist workflow data and extension state locally
- sidePanel: To display the Stackbirds control panel in the browser sidebar
- alarms: To keep the extension service worker alive during long-running automation tasks
- cookies: To maintain session state required for authenticated workflow steps
- clipboardRead / clipboardWrite: To support copy-paste actions within recorded workflows
- notifications: To alert users when a workflow completes or encounters an error
- webNavigation: To detect page navigations during workflow recording and replay
- identity: To authenticate users via Google OAuth
Data Retention
Workflow data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your workflows at any time from the extension. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.
